Who am I?

Spade is a genre-blending artist based in Leeds, inspired by artists like Bob Marley, Steve Miller band, Charlie Puth, and more Fusing Reggae and Spanish influences with modern experimental sounds. At just 20 years old, Spade brings a fresh yet nostalgic energy to his music, drawing inspiration from a diverse spectrum of genres – from 80s rock and country to K-pop, rap, and beyond. His style is rooted in reggae rhythms but never confined by them, with tracks often shifting fluidly into elements of reggaeton, hip hop, or alternative pop.

Though relatively new to the digital music scene, Spade has been steadily building his image through live performances at open mic nights across Leeds, including The Grove Inn and Northern Guitars.

Spade’s artistic identity is defined by authenticity, experimentation, and a reluctance to be boxed in. In response to his desire for privacy and a growing interest in creating a signature visual identity, Spade has adopted a masked image – taking cues from anonymous artists like Marshmello and MF DOOM. The mask has become a visual metaphor for both mystery and artistic freedom, representing an artist more focused on expression than exposure.

Currently working independently, Spade writes, records, and produces his music using accessible tools like GarageBand on his phone, driven by both passion than perfectionism. As he continues to grow, he hopes to evolve both sonically and professionally, with a vision to blend cultures, sounds, and identities – all while staying true to himself.
